We won our appeal!

On July 12, Ethan Ackerman (current Alpha) submitted an appeal to the BGSU review board on behalf of the current Advisory Board members. In it, he requested that the university reconsider the part of their sanctions that blocked the nine of us from any official affiliation (advisory or otherwise) with the chapter once it's reinstated.

I am thrilled to report that the single reviewer sided with Ethan (and us) and has removed that sanction, allowing us to maintain our advisory roles in two years if we so wish.
